Glo’s Lockdown Story
‘A couple of years ago, I promised myself that I would start drawing again instead of using the computer for graphic art. I made a little sketch on my mobile. I eventually put it together through the lockdown. [Memories Montage is] a brief montage of childhood places and memories of living/working and bringing up our family in Camden. Coming from Kentish Town and very much a city girl, I really enjoyed the early years spent in St. Leonards-on-Sea whilst staying at my Aunt’s West Lodge in St Leonard’s gardens, where I used spend a lot of time in wonder of the beautiful Lily pond and going for walks along the beach to Hastings.

Lockdown was a bit strange at first, but soon led me onto collecting up all of my art materials that were collecting dust around the house. Which left me in a very relaxed state of mind for drawing.
I shared my artwork with family and friends. The feedback gave me my confidence back, to which I hadn’t really realised that I’d lost! I now feel ready to make time for my first love of Art.’
